The Story Behind the Honey
The Name
Terranova Brothers carries the name of our sons — Chris and Nick. But the soul of this brand comes from their mother. Four generations of beekeeping heritage, rooted in the villages of Moldova and Ukraine, passed down through family hands and kept alive on 33 acres in Franklin, New York. I started Sunshine Bees Apiary to honor that heritage. Terranova Brothers is the next chapter — built together with my boys.
The Farm
Our honey starts in the Catskill Mountains, where our bees forage across wildflower meadows, clover fields, and native blooms surrounding our Franklin, New York farm. Raw, unfiltered, and never heated — it's honey the way my family has always made it. What we're building here goes beyond honey. The vegetables, the herbs, the land itself — all of it is part of what Terranova Brothers will become.
The Craft
I've always loved cooking with Chris and Nick. That's where Terranova Brothers really began — in the kitchen, experimenting with honey, layering flavors, turning something pure into something extraordinary. Our whipped honeys are slow-crafted with real vanilla, real cinnamon, and real Ghirardelli chocolate. Our spicy honeys are infused with freeze-dried peppers grown right here in our own garden. Everything we make starts with one question: would we be proud to put it on our table?
The Vision
Terranova Brothers is just getting started. Specialty honeys are the foundation — but the vision is bigger. Spices, herbs, vegetables grown on our farm, all made with the same intention: real ingredients, family hands, Franklin, New York. Chris and Nick are building this with me. That means everything.
The Team
Terranova Brothers is a family operation in every sense. The honey comes from our hives. The recipes come from our kitchen. And behind the scenes, keeping our community connected and our customers heard, is Angelina — Chris's partner and the heartbeat of our social media and customer relationships. Every message you send, every post you see, every email in your inbox — that's her care and dedication showing up for you. We couldn't do this without her.
